Realizing that many people all over the world would need different forms of support to make it through this trying time, developers of Familheey, a social networking app, have included in the latest upgrade, a feature that allows users to request support from their family and persons in their social group.

Familheey app presents a uniqueness whereby individuals have the opportunity to publicly state their needs to family members across the globe and receive rapid response,” Angela Chinweze, Chief Operations Officer of My Family Group, developers of Familheey, told the West African Pilot News. “By family members, I am referring to regular families, organizations, church groups, or close friends. With Familheey you literally have the world at your fingertips.”

On the platform, users of Familheey can either provide support to individuals’ specific needs by swiping to the request section or get help by providing a few details and then post. The privacy of persons seeking help is guaranteed as they can determine who sees their request. The app also allows request monitoring system – support provided and what is needed to complete the contributions are displayed.

With new information and updates about the disease regularly pushed at people worldwide, enabling individuals to publicly request and get support from anyone in this challenging period becomes important as people may focus more on sharing information than giving impactful support.

Ajith Nair, Chief Strategy Officer of My Family Group stated that “users are rushing to this app because they have realized in this era of the pandemic that proper tools are needed not just to communicate, marketing and politics, but also share love and values that bond them together.”

“It (Familheey app) combines all the great features you want in a social networking app and gives users the tool to achieve goals with like-minded people,” Nair said.
