On focus in this write up, is Buttermilk.

Buttermilk refers simply to the original liquid left behind after churning butter out of cultured cream. This type is known as the traditional buttermilk.

Buttermilk is a fermented dairy drink. Most modern buttermilk is cultured. It is common in warm climates where unrefrigerated fresh milk sours quickly.

It is a slightly sour milk; the sourness arising from acids in the milk, notably lactic acids. The tartness acidity in buttermilk is primarily due to the lactic acid produced by lactic acid bacteria while fermenting lactose, the primary sugar in milk. As these bacteria produce lactic acid, the PH of the milk decreases and casein which is a primary milk protein precipitates causing the cuddling of the milk. This process makes buttermilk thicker than plain milk, providing a tasty and refreshing intake with numerous health benefits.

Cultured buttermilk as it is called in the US these days is a pasteurized milk product usually lower in fat than regular milk and cream.

Buttermilk which is better consumed in the morning with breakfast has the following health benefits:
