Adamawa State Government has targeted over fifteen thousand head of the cattle to be vaccinated against various cattle diseases across the state.
Special Adviser to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Livestock and Aquaculture, Aminu Buba Sebore told Journalists in Yola that already government had purchased the required vaccines for the exercise and is set to flag off of the programme.
He urged herdsmen in Adamawa to support the government to enable it to empower them with modern techniques of animal husbandry. “The Fintiri led-administration in Adamawa has been consistent on resolving disputes between farmers and herders across Adamawa which was a major challenge in the past”. Sebore said.
The Special Adviser added that cattle markets in Mubi, Ganye and Ngurore will soon be reinvigorated to boost economic activities in the centres and improve revenue generation.
