LAGOS — Nigerian ace singer, songwriter, and performer, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, has bagged an endorsement deal with global electronics company, Samsung as an ambassador for its A-series range of mobile phones in Nigeria.
The 29-year-old singer, who has been endorsed by different brands like Budweiser, TomTom, Pepsi, and a host of others, just joined Samsung as the new A-Series brand ambassador.
The deal was made public on Tuesday in a social media post in which the ‘Billionaire’ hit singer shared an excerpt from what seemed like an advert shoot and wrote: “Newest member of the Samsung family! @samsung #TeamGalaxy.”
Chika Nnadozie, the Marketing Team lead, Samsung Nigeria, said Teni represents the core values of Samsung.
“The Samsung brand,” Chika says, “stands for quality, innovation, self-expression, and excellence in performance.
“These very same qualities have been typified by Teni in the course of her career. Her quality and depth of work as well as versatility as an entertainer have endeared her to Nigerians and beyond. We are indeed glad to have her as our brand ambassador.”
Omolade Agbadaola, Marketing Manager, MX business, Samsung Nigeria, said the signing of the award-winning musician gives Samsung another window of opportunity of reaching out to more Nigerians via the teeming fans of Teni.
“It is important to us, as a brand, to connect with customers at all touchpoints and, in so doing, we have recognized and chosen Teni who is one of the biggest stars in the music and entertainment industry here in Nigeria, and of course in West Africa by extension. The South Korean company is one of the world’s largest producers of electronic devices.
