ENUGU — The University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital – UNTH Foundation will today, inaugurate Chief Ben Etiaba, as a Board member. The foundation which shall be chaired by Sullivan Chime, former governor of Enugu State, has other eminent Nigerians as members of the board.
The Foundation is set up to ensure a more robust and efficient caregiving system which the prestigious UNTH as formerly known for. The Chairman of UNTH Management Board, Suleiman Umar, as well as the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Obinna Onodugo are the hosts.
Inauguration of the Foundation Board slated to commence just before midday has other side attractions to spice up the occasion.
Ben Etiaba was a governorship candidate of PPM in the November 2021 Anambra State governorship election. Formerly an aspirant in the APC, but left after the party’s controversial primaries which case is still in court till date. However, Mr. Etiaba in the cause of his campaign demonstrated an unmatched grasp of what a governor of a state like Anambra should do. The Board Chairman, Sullivan Chime was a first-class governor of Enugu state, who silently repositioned the state capital to a clean and green city, among others.
It is therefore expected that the fading glory of the UNTH will be restored through the efforts of the Board of the hospital’s foundation, who are carefully selected for that purpose.
Ebuka graduated with a second-class upper-division degree in Political Science from the University of Calabar in Nigeria. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master's Degree in Political Science with a specialization in Government and Development Studies from Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Nigeria. His academic background and professional experience have equipped him with a deep understanding of political dynamics and governance issues.
