The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of a former Commissioner for Housing and Urban Planning in the State, Abubakar Idris Babangida.
SP Suleiman Nguroje, Command’s spokesman while confirming the incident, said measures were being taken to rescue the victim.
Babangida, who served during the immediate past government of Governor Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, was kidnapped in the early hours of Tuesday in the state.
It was learnt that his abductors surrounded his home situated at Bajabire village in Girei Local Government Area of the state reportedly killed two persons and injured several others before they abducted him.
A family member said the kidnappers had contacted them and demand N30 million as ransom.
