The Labour Party Presidential candidate in 2023 elections in Nigeria, Mr. Peter Obi has commended the Nzuko Umunna for efforts in promoting mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence among the ethnic nationalities in the country while reminding all eminent leaders present that leadership is a trust for service to society.
Obi stated this at the second edition of ‘Handshake Across Nigeria’ organized by an Igbo Think Tank and professional group, Nzuko Umunna held on Friday at The Amadeo Event place in Enugu, Enugu State.
Emphasizing on need for a new Nigeria, Obi called for unity of purpose in nation building not anarchy.
“All we want is a better Nigeria, where our children will live without regrets, where son of nobody will rise to any position he worked for on merits;”
“We must not bequeath anarchy to the next generation but continue to work until Nigeria becomes what all of us want,” Obi said.
