Tiwatope Savage, the Nigerian singer and songwriter better known as Tiwa Savage, is billed to perform at the upcoming coronation concert of the British monarch, King Charles III.
King Charles III ascended the throne on September 8, 2022, following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles III and his wife Camila would be officially crowned on Saturday, May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London.
Tiwa Savage is the only Nigerian artist enlisted for the coronation concert which will hold on Sunday, May 7 on the grounds of Windsor Castle as part of a three-day festivity.
Reacting to her selection, the songstress said: “It’s truly an honour to be representing Africa and the Commonwealth at such an historic event. I look forward to joining the celebrations and bringing Afrobeats to Windsor Castle for the first time!”
