Former Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor has charged Nigerian Armed Forces to keep up the fight against insurgency to ensure lasting peace is restored in all parts of the country.
General Irabor who pulled out of Service, thanks to God and members of the Armed Forces for their support.
As part of pull out activities, General Lucky Irabor reviewed the parade mounted for the ceremony in his honour at the Mogadishu Cantonment Abuja.
In his valedictory speech, General Irabor commended the efforts of the Armed Forces for returning peace to most areas across the North and explained that he is leaving the Armed Forces stronger than he met it.

He urged his successor Major General Christopher Musa to keep up the good work.
General Irabor was conveyed with a Range Rover decorated with four stars in company of his wife Mrs. Vickie Irabor and his daughter.
Born on October fifth 1965 in Delta State, General Lucky Irabor enrolled into the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1983 under the thirty four regular Course.
He held various operational commands before becoming the Chief of Defence Staff among which was the Force Commander Multi-National Joint Task Force.
He is also the Commander Operation Lafiya Dole and the Commander Training and Doctrine Command, Nigerian Army.
As the Theatre Commander Operation Lafiya Dole General Irabor captured the Alargano Forest, the claimed spiritual base of Boko Haram.
He executed the operation Crackdown 1 and 2 Rescue Finale and Deep Punch which cleared the Sambisa Forest, destroyed Boko Haram camps and rescued over twenty thousand Civilians abducted by the Insurgents.
