Borno State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Ali Bukar Dalori has been elected Deputy National Chairman (North) of the party.
Dalori replaces Senator Abubakar Kyari who is exiting his position on the APC National Working Committee (NWC) courtesy of his recent ministerial nomination.
According to reports, Alhaji Dalori is the longest serving APC state chairman and doubles as the chairman of the APC state chairmen Forum.
Dalori, the new Deputy National Chairman (North) is a political ally of the Vice President, Kashim Shetima and an astute politician who is revered by stakeholders of the party
He was five times local government chairman, two times member of the Borno State House of Assembly and Special Adviser to Borno State governor.
The incoming Deputy National Chairman was a member of the Nigeria Railway Corporation Board that was recently dissolved.
According to the report, with Dalori, North East would help the National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje to pilot the party and conduct a new national convention.
