Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State has sympathiesed with the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar.
Ododo, in a condolence message he personally signed, described the late Hajiya Maryam as a compassionate and selfless individual whose life was defined by love, charity, and service to humanity.
He acknowledged that the loss of a mother is always profound, as mothers hold a unique and irreplaceable role in their families.
“Her charity and love for all will be remembered by those who benefitted from her milk of humanitarianism,” Governor Ododo stated.
He emphasized that the late Hajiya Maryam’s values were evident in the God-fearing and accomplished leader she raised, noting her qualities as a disciplinarian and firm believer in Allah.
The Governor encouraged the family to find strength in their faith, reminding them of the Islamic teaching to accept the will of Allah.
He praised Hajiya Maryam’s legacy, which will remain immortalized in the hearts of those who cherished her dedication to humanity.
“On behalf of my family and the people of Kogi State, I extend our heartfelt condolences to Your Excellency, your family, and the people of Jigawa State.
“May Allah grant her eternal rest and give you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the governor concluded.
