The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has mourned the sudden passing of Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Ondo State.
A press statement on Saturday signed by AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the NGF Chairman, noted that Oluwatuyi was a dedicated public servant who earned respect and admiration nationwide for his unwavering commitment to Ondo State’s progress and development.¹
“His passing is a profound loss to the Ondo State Government, led by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and the entire country.”
The NGF Chairman extended heartfelt condolences to Governor Aiyedatiwa, the Oluwatuyi family, and the people of Ondo State during this period of mourning.
According to him, Oluwatuyi’s legacy of service and dedication will remain a source of inspiration.
“The NGF stands in solidarity with Ondo State and offers its full support as the state navigates this challenging time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
“The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Ondo State, Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi.
Oluwatuyi’s death occurred after he sustained injuries in a car accident on December 15, 2024, while traveling from Akure to Ibadan. He passed away on January 4, 2025, at a hospital in Ondo State.
Other governors, including Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, have also commiserated with Governor Aiyedatiwa and the people of Ondo State over Oluwatuyi’s passing.
