The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu during a one-day state visit in Enugu State commissioned numerous projects including the Enugu International Conference Centre, roads, smart schools, and Command and Control Centre for security.

President Tinubu who expressed satisfaction at the enormous development projects completed by Peter Mbah’s administration calls on Nigerians to join hands in building the nation irrespective of their political affiliation.

Commending the giant strides of the Enugu State Governor, President Tinubu said, “I don’t care which party you come from. You are my friend. You are doing well and very focused. We must build this house called Nigeria to not just satisfy our immediate needs, but our tomorrow too. That’s why the removal of the fuel subsidy was necessary. We cannot spend the future of generations yet unborn in advance. Don’t bankrupt the nation before they’re born.”

Applauding the security project interventions, the President said, “He (Peter Mbah) is doing everything possible to provide security, attracting foreign investors and other investors locally. There’s no better investment than the investment to secure lives. I saw those cars, the Distress Response Squad. It is the way to go.”

He however calls on residents of the state, “Please, continue to cooperate and collaborate with your son, brother, and friend here, Mbah, who is really committed to pushing the development of Enugu State and being a good symbol of southeastern states.”

Pledging to foster more strategic development in the state, the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah said, “As a government, we shall continue to build the Enugu of our dreams – a hub of opportunity, service delivery, and economic excellence.”

President Tinubu, in the middle, during his visit to Enugu State commissioned numerous projects, including the Enugu International Conference Centre, roads, smart schools, and Command and Control Centre for security.

“These projects reflect our vision to grow Enugu’s economy from $4.4 billion to $30 billion within the next eight years.”

“But we recognize that few things stifle dreams such as we have, and drain life out of a city like untamed criminality – or any hint of it.”

“Security is key to this vision. Our AI-driven surveillance network and the Distress Response Squad have redefined safety across the state. This initiative guarantees peace of mind, ensuring our streets and neighborhoods remain safe for residents and investors alike.”

“The framework of our security system was designed to nip crime in the bud, and react swiftly when there is any breach of security.”

“Our AI-enhanced security initiative has led to round-the-clock surveillance of our streets and neighborhoods across the entire state,”

“The state-wide CCTV network is operated via this Command-and-Control Centre commissioned today,” Peter Mbah reveals.

Mbah then called on politicians to sheath their swords for a better nation; “Regardless of political affiliations, we can build an Enugu State as well as a Nigeria that serves and uplifts everyone.”

“Thank you, Mr. President, for your support and recognition of our efforts. Thank you for finding time to visit, as we look forward to seeing you again.”

Some projects commissioned include: 30 completed Enugu Smart Green Schools out of 260 under construction; 60 equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres across 260 wards; the Enugu International Conference Centre; 90 newly completed urban roads; state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre with 150 patrol vehicles with surveillance cameras.
