NewsNigeriaCaucasian Dismisses Insecurity Reports, Declares Nigeria “Safe”

A Caucasian man has sparked mixed reactions on social media after he shared a video in which he debunked claims that Nigeria is not a safe country.
In the trending video, the Caucasian, fascinated by nature, held the Nigerian flag while posing at Arinta waterfalls located in Ipole-Iloro town, Ekiti State.
Despite the insurgency and insecurity that has marred the image of the most populous black nation in recent years, the man implored people who wish to visit Nigeria to disregard every report of insecurity being peddled by the international community and take a trial to explore the beauty of the most populous country in Africa.
In the video, the Caucasian said, “Welcome to Nigeria. As you can see, a lot of people don’t think that Nigeria is the safest country but that is not at all true. I am here in beautiful Ekiti state in the middle of the country at this amazing waterfall. I am completely safe. I am not dead. Everything is fine about this trip. Even though Nigeria gets a bad name in international media and news, none of that is true.”
Nigerians who reacted to the video urged the white man to visit any of the Northern states to know if the lingering insecurity reports making headlines daily in Nigeria aren’t true.
