Dr. Philip Ozuah who hails from Nteje in Anambra State and a product of the University of Ibadan has donated $1m to the College of Medicine of the University.
The University of Ibadan, located in Oyo state is one of the oldest Universities in Nigeria and a centre of research and learning.
Reacting to the gesture, the Presidential flagbearer of Labour Party LP, Mr Peter Obi praises the sterling qualities of the Medical Doctor and owner of Montefiore Medical Centre in New York.
“Although he is based in the United States of America, he has extended support to his home country.
“He has demonstrated a oneness, where location, tribe, and religion should not hinder our service to God, country, and humanity,” he said.
