President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has approved the posting of the 65 ambassadors whose nominations were confirmed last December, assigning them to their respective host countries.

Former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, has been posted to Qatar as Nigeria’s Ambassador, while former presidential spokesman, Reno Omokri, was posted to Mexico City, and ex-Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, was sent to Germany.

This is contained in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Friday.

Tinubu has directed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should immediately commence the induction programme for the ambassadors-designate and high commissioners.

A statement issued by Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga, revealed the full list of 31 career and 34 non-career ambassadors posted by President Bola Tinubu to various countries and the United Nations.
