Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who holds the traditional title of (Midala Huba), has approved the appointment of substantive District Heads (Hakimai) in 8 Districts of the Huba Chiefdom based on the recommendations of His Royal Majesty, Tol Alheri Bulus Nyako Ph.D, Tol Huba, the President of Hong LGA Traditional Council.

According to a statement from the Council, the newly appointed District Heads are Mr. Henry N. Kadiri – Hyema, Idi Maigari – Gashala/Mayolope, Abdulnasir Iya Abbas – Mufa, Andrason Tsowurda – Mukwahi, Andrew Barka – Kulinyi, Alh. Mahmoud Abdulkadir – Shangui, Clifford N. Kadala – Uding, and Aliyu Ibrahim – Yadul.

The statement further stated that a District Head, otherwise known as a Hakimi, is NOT a Tol.

“Therefore, the appointed District Heads should not bear the title of ‘Tol’ or be addressed as such within their respective domains,” the statement explained.

The Chiefdom congratulates the new District Heads and urges them to prioritize unity, peace, security, and the overall development of their domains.

The statement said all the newly appointed District Heads are invited to a meeting on Wednesday, 16th September 2026 for the formal collection of their Letters of Appointment.

“Accordingly, all Acting District Heads who have not been confirmed are to prepare their handover notes and effect handover on 16th September 2026,” the statement said.
