The Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on Monday went on an inspection tour to General Hospital Agbani in Nkanu West Local Government Area and Colliery Hospital in Enugu North Local Government Area which are under reconstruction.

The ongoing massive reconstructions in both hospitals are in fulfillment of the governor’s promise to upgrade health facilities for quality and affordable healthcare delivery in both urban and rural areas in the state.

Noting the exigencies of adequate healthcare to the people, Ugwuanyi pledged to deploy the essential materials and manpower needed to ensure timely completion of the structures.

Recall that the Colliery Hospital is the first centre designated for treatment of infectious diseases in the state since the days of Ebola but abandoned and in a state of total disrepair.

Nnolim Nnaji member representing Nkanu East/West federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Iloabuchi Aniagu member representing Nkanu West in the State House of Assembly, Chief Nwabueze Nnamani Council Chairman, and Dr. Ifeanyi Agujiobi Permanent Secretary, State Ministry of Health accompanied the governor on the inspection tour.
