The speaker of the Kaduna state house of assembly, Yusuf Zailani has instructed staffs of the assembly as well as lawmakers to submit their samples for Coronavirus test.
The Deputy Chairman House Committee on Health, Ali Kalat revealed this while addressing journalists in Kaduna on Tuesday.
Kalat noted that the status of staff of the assembly, a recent case of virus necessitated the directive. He noted that so far, no member of the assembly have tested positive.
“The speaker has given directives that the entire workforce of the assembly should be subjected to coronavirus tests and the exercise is still going on at the assembly”
“Going forward, we have to surrender ourselves for testing so that we will be sure that the entire members of the assembly and its workforce are COVID-19 negatives.
“All staff has converged for the exercise and it is ongoing. After the exercise we will close and wait for further directives from the executive,” he said.
