Adamawa state Police Command Friday arraigned 66 of the 238 persons arrested in connection with looting, stealing and vandalizing government and public properties across the state this week.
Among the suspects, four were women including a nursing mother and underage children.
Twenty two of the suspects were arraigned at the Magistrate court Four Yola, while the remaining were arraigned at the Magistrate Court Two Yola.
None documentation of the case files stalled the hearing, but court clerks were seen busy documenting case files of the suspects.
After compiling their lists, some of the suspects were returned to the police headquarters, while others were taken to the Nigeria Correctional Centres pending their arraignment in court.
However, there was no date officially fixed for hearing on the matter by any of the courts.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Adamawa State Police Command said the accused persons have been categorized into groups, those violating the government curfew order will be released following government intention to forgive them.
According to him, the second categories are those who broke into private and public facilities and carted away with goods will face the full wrath of the law.
