Hon. Chris Azubogu, the member representing Nnewi North/South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in Anambra state, has commenced his fourth medical outreach in the constituency.

The medical outreach which holds simultaneously in four different centres namely; Joint Hospital Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government, Diocesan Hospital, Amichi in Nnewi South Local Government, Diocesan Hospital, Akwudo in Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government and General Hospital, Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government, covers treatments like eye surgeries, eye care, lab examinations, general surgeries, among others, and has witnessed impressive turnout.

This medical outreach became effective since November 30th and that first day has massive turnout, with a record of over sixty surgeries, according to Hon. Azubogu’s media office.

A message from Azubogu’s aide further revealed that people from across the state and beyond, not just those in the federal constituency took advantage of the free medical treatment in the first day. “Records show that people across the 21 Local Government Areas of Anambra state participated today. Some also came from neighbouring states too”, the message from Onyia, Azubogu’s aide reads.

The outreach is billed to last till December 8th 2020. Hon. Chris Azubogu who is popularly called ‘Mr Project’ reacting to the success of the first day says he is thankful. “I give God all the glory”, he said. He further hinted that in all, about two thousand patients were attended to across the four centers situated within the Federal Constituency.

According to Azubogu, “About two thousand patients were attended to across our four centres. Our record also proved that people across communities in our twenty one Local Government Areas and even neighbouring states participated on the first day and also were attended to”. He also thanked health workers and volunteers who are assisting with attending to patients.

Hon. Engr. Chris Azubogu is serving his third term in the House of Representatives where he is representing Nnewi North/South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.
