Construction of the Rural Electrification Project in Bille of Demsa Local Government Area, Adamawa state abandoned for years was flag off, thereby connecting the Community to the National grid.

Speaking during the event, a Member representing Numan, Demsa, and Lamurde Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives Barr Kwamoti Laaori who facilitates work on the project said the project was one of the requests by the Community.

Represented by the Adamawa State Commissioner for Entrepreneurship, Mr. James Iliya, Barr Laaori said when completed, “the project will boost socio-economic activities of the community thereby creating job opportunities as well as reduce over-dependence on firewood while cooking”.

The lawmaker, while promising the Community of more basic amenities, solicited support and cooperation to enable him to succeed.

In his remark, Murum Bille, the District Head of Bille, Mr. Pinnon Maigari appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture and urged him to maintain the tempo.

Maigari assured the contractor of the project of the Community’s support to enable him complete the project in time.

Speaking separately, the Bidoma Development Area Administrator, Japhet Manu and Chairman Bille Mwoh, Nehemiah Wonokai thanked the lawmaker for the project and expressed their unflinching support at all times.

Also speaking, the contractor of the Electrification Project, Mr. Adebayo Muhyiddeen assured Bille Community of timely completion of the project and pledged to engage Bille Youths in the Project.

In a Vote of thanks, one of the community leader who is also the Ka`aki Bille and General Manager, Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation ABC Yola, Mr. Alleni Ethan Dah described the project as a critical source of development to the area.

He called for support and cooperation to the lawmaker and Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri administration the enable them to reap more democracy dividends.
