The Kano State Police Command, on Monday, arrested a 30-year-old woman, Hauwa Auwal of Shekara Sabuwar Abuja in Kumbotso LGA of Kano State, for pouring hot water on her husband’s second wife, Sha’awanatu Muhmmad and her four-year-old daughter, Halima Khalid.
Kano State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the arrest, said police operatives stormed the house after receiving reports of the incident and arrested the culprit while the victims were rushed to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital for medical treatment.
On her part, the mother of the victim, Hajiya Binta Isma’il appealed to the state government and other wealthy individuals to help settle the medical bills of her daughter and granddaughter.
