The newly commissioned Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport in Umueri community is now bringing many international business opportunities for the people of Anambra state, and one of those opportunities lies in real estate as properties close to the airport are currently booming.
According to Jaqueline Obiechina-Okafor, a land and estate-development expert with Pwan Max property and Business Solutions, “we have been dealing with a high demand of pre-built homes and apartments in the past months due to the progress the government had made in the airport project.”
Just recently, the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, inaugurated this airport and the world witnessed the landing of the first two aircraft in the facility. So, the cargo wing of this airport will certainly serve the needs of many importers in these markets.”
Mrs. Obiechina-Okafor said there is a huge business opportunity for airlines as well as other ancillary services, such as travel agencies, restaurants, Bureau de Change operators, retailers, cab drivers, car hire services, and so on. She said, “This has vastly influenced our real estate development ventures. For instance, we are offering a free plot of land now for those who would purchase three. And this freebie ends at the end of this month.”
