“Out of the 1000 files, after our vetting and legal advice, we found that over 800 of them had prima facie evidence to proceed to prosecution and charges have long been drafted in respect of those 800. 280 of those cases have also been filed at the Federal High Court and the charges.

Nigeria is marred by conflicts and several violent attacks perpetrated by the militant Islamic movement, Boko Haram.

The insurgent group was rated Africa’s deadliest terrorist group and is responsible for the death of over 37,000,00 people.

The United Nations Children’s Fund reported that Boko Haram has kidnapped more than 1,000 children in northwestern in the last decade.

Boko Haram occupies the northwest alongside other new factions of the group including the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) and the al-Qaeda affiliate, Ansaru thus unleashing terror on vulnerable residents.
