Fifteen people who steal at least 255 railway slippers from different locations of Benue state within the past two months have been arrested by the Police.
Tunji Akingbola, Commissioner of Police in the state made this known Thursday at his maiden press briefing in Makurdi, the state capital.
“Within the period of my resumption in the state in August, 15 people specialized in vandalizing critical infrastructure had been arrested with 255 railway slippers.”
“20 suspects were also arrested for robbery while another 20 were for cultism, others held in custody for banditry among other crimes,” Akingbola said.
