LAGOS — Veteran Nigerian artiste, Eedris Abdulkareem has questioned the authenticity of the arrest of the former head of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Abba Kyari over alleged drug dealing with an international cartel.
This is coming hours after the Nigeria Police Force arrested the embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police and handed him over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation after the agency declared him wanted for drug pushing and attempting to bribe an NDLEA undercover agent.
Despite the credibility of the news, Eedris stated that he will not believe Abba Kyari’s arrest until he sees photos of him in handcuffs.
The musician also stated that it is a life of pretence for Abba Kyari to be a police officer during the day, while a criminal at night.
He wrote on Instagram, “Supercop in the morning, criminal moonlighting at night. A life of layered pretence and lies.
“When will the pictures of Abba Kyari in handcuffs surface the internet? Until I see that picture, I won’t believe any news of his arrest.”
