LAGOS — Nigerian music producer, Pheelz’s latest single, Finesse featuring Buju, now known as BNXN has become the most Shazamed song in the world.
The song hit number one on the global Shazam charts on March 8, 2022.
Shazam is an application that can identify music, movies, advertising, and television shows, based on a short sample played and using the microphone on the device.
Ranking number one on Shazam global chart means the song, Finesse has been trending and that it is the most sought-after song globally as of this time.
The song gained people’s attention even before it was released.
It has garnered no less than 19 million views on TikTok.
This led to the #FolakeChallenge which social media users around the world are using to share stories about the things they do to finesse despite the possibility of going broke.
On March 4, 2022, the song hit No. 1 in Lagos, London, and Accra, on the Apple Music charts.
