Celebrity barman, Cubana Chief Priest, claims that he’s making efforts alongside some other billionaires from the Eastern part of Nigeria to buy Twitter from the world’s richest man, Elon Musk.
Cubana took to his Twitter page to state that he will team up with Obi Cubana and E-Money and other billionaire friends from Southeast to acquire Twitter from Musk at a higher price of $70 billion.
“We are making progress on submitting our offer to acquire Twitter from Elon Musk, with $70B. Billionaires from the East comprising myself, Obi and E-Money and the rest, we are coming,” Cubana Chief Priest tweeted.
This is coming less than a week after billionaire business magnate, Elon Musk took over Twitter.
On April 14, 2022, Musk proposed to buy out Twitter, Inc., for $43 billion, after previously acquiring 9.1% of the company’s stock for $2.64 billion, becoming its largest single shareholder.
On Monday, April 25, Twitter’s board of directors unanimously accepted Musk’s buyout offer of $44 billion, with the company set to be privatized. As of April 2022, the acquisition is pending approval from regulators and shareholders.
Time will tell if Cubana Chief Priest and his billionaire friends will be successful in their bid.
