Police in Plateau State have confirmed an attack on Maikatako community in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, gunmen have killed 11 persons and injured 8 others.
The Plateau State Police Spokesman, DSP Alfred Alabo said the gunmen overwhelmed the vigilante group on patrol and also burnt down four houses during the attack.
Nine of the victims were said to have been burnt beyond recognition in a compound that was razed while the others were found earlier this morning around the bushes.
