Big Brother Titans, the maiden edition of Big Brother Africa that will feature housemates from Nigeria and South Africa, will begin on 15 January 2023.

The organisers, MultiChoice Nigeria, announced this in a press briefing on Thursday.

“The ‘Big Brother Titans’ is a special edition of the widely loved Big Brother show,” the Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe said.

“This special edition is a fusion of two TV phenomena—BBNaija and BB Mzansi. We are bringing housemates from two giant nations—Nigeria and South Africa, under one roof, to give African entertainment audiences a show of intense drama like never before.

We are telling our audience to be ready for the biggest takeover on TV starting from January 15. It promises an abundance of Nigerian and South African swag, banter, romance, and everything in between.”

The forthcoming season will be held in South Africa with Lawrence Maleka and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu as hosts.

The reality TV show will run for 77 days, ending on 2 April 2023 and it will premiere on 15 January from 7:00 pm on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29 with a simulcast on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban, and Africa Magic Family.

The grand prize for the winner of the show is $100,000.

The West African Pilot News reports that the audition for BBTitans ended on 22 October 2022.
