The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Okey Ezea of Labour party, LP, and candidate for Enugu North Senatorial District election winner of the Saturday 25th February election.
Ezea won the seat with one hundred and four thousand, four hundred and ninety-two votes (104,492) against the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, the Enugu state Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who got forty-six thousand, nine hundred and forty-eight (46,948) votes.
The Victory of Labour Party in the state breaks the record as Peoples Democratic Party since the inception of democracy in Nigeria has always won all elections in Enugu state.
