The Enugu State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress has announced the expulsion of six of her members who were determined to have engaged in anti-party activities.

The expelled members include a Former Governor of Enugu State Barrister Sullivan Chime, Former Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly Eugene Odoh and the Director General of the Voice of Nigeria, Osita Okechukwu.

Others include Ozor Joel Mamel, Mr. Maduka Arum (Mama) and Chief Flavor Eze.

However, two other of her members were suspended; Geoffrey Onyeama and former Senate President Senator Ken Nnamani for anti-party activities also.

Speaking to newsmen at the party’s office in Enugu on Thursday after the State Executive Council meeting, APC Secretary Enugu state chapter Robert Ngwo said the decision is based on report of the party’s fact-finding disciplinary committee; “the disciplined members worked against the rules and interests of the party,” Ngwo said.

Supporting the decision to suspend or expel the persons who worked against the party, the Enugu State APC chairman Ugochukwu Agballah said the decision is necessary as their actions is contrary to the Constitution of the party.

Agballah then assured party members that the decision of the state executive members is not only unanimous but geared towards rebuilding the party to be an alternative strong platform in Enugu State.
