President-elect Bola Tinubu has announced his representatives on the inauguration committee of the presidential transition council.

The list was contained in a letter by Tinubu to the Secretary to the Government of Federation, Boss Mustapha.

The appointees of the inauguration committee are to plan for the week-long inauguration of the President-elect.

The members of the committee are as follows:

  1. Coordinator, Budget and Finance – Senator Abubakar Kyari.
  2. Secretariat, Planning and Monitoring – Hon. Stella Okotete.
  3. Media and Publicity – Mr Bayo Onanuga.
  4. Church Service – Bishop Adegbite.
  5. Juma’at Service – Imam Fuad.
  6. Protocol and Invitation – Donald Wokoma.
  7. Transport and Logistics – Hajiya Hadiza Mohammed Kabir.
  8. Inauguration Lecture – Dr Danladi Bako.
  9. Security and Ceremonial Parade – Col. Abdulazeez Yar’adua.
  10. Venue – Makinde Araoye.
  11. Medical – Dr. Betta Edu.
  12. Accommodation – Abuh Andrew Abuh.
  13. Pre-Inauguration Dinner/Gala Night – Barr. Zainab Buba Marwa.
  14. Children’s Day – Samira Saddik.

On May 29, Tinubu, the winner of the February 25 presidential election, is expected to be inaugurated as Nigerian president to replace Muhammadu Buhari who was inaugurated on May 29, 2015, and would be completing his two-term tenure of eight years on May 29, 2023.
