President Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, met with the service chiefs at the State House in Abuja.
The purpose of the briefing our correspondent gathered was to engage the heads of the nation’s security and intelligence agencies on how to deal with the nation’s teething security challenges.
During the meeting, the President disclosed his plans of embarking on a lot of reforms in the security sector.
The meeting was attended by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao; and the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.
Others are the Director-General of the Department of State Service, DSS, Yusuf Bichi; the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ahmed Rufai Abubakar; and the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno.
The meeting is the President’s first engagement with the nation’s service chiefs.
