The Kogi State, has sympathised with the government and people of Kwara State and the immediate families of the victims of the tragic boat accident that occurred at Egbu village in Patigi Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday.
The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on behalf of the government and people of Kogi State, stated that the incident, involving over 100 citizens, is unfortunate.
The condolence message which was signed by the Governor read, “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the affected families, the community, and the entire state.
“I commend the prompt response and rescue efforts of the Kwara State government, which have helped to minimise the number of casualties.
“To my esteemed brother, Governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman of Kwara State, I assure you of our unwavering support during this challenging period.
“May the departed souls rest in peace, and may the affected families find solace and comfort during this difficult time,” he stated.
