The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 presidential election, Mr. Peter Obi lost his phone on Tuesday while sitting at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) at the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

Obi, who was dressed in his usual black attire sat close to his running mate, Ahmed Baba Datti throughout the court’s proceedings, but his phone was allegedly stolen.

Obi discovered that his mobile phone was missing after court proceedings in his petition challenging the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 presidential election.

Obi and his party, in their joint petition marked CA/PEPC/03/2023 are seeking the nullification of Tinubu’s election on the ground of substantial noncompliance with the Constitution, the Electoral Act, and INEC’s guidelines for the conduct of the election.

As of the time of filing this report, no reports suggest that Obi has found his cell phone.

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate has cultivated a habit of being present at the court anytime his petition comes up for hearing.
