38 inmates at the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Kurmawa, Kano have successfully completed the 2023 NECO Senior School Certificate Examination.
The inmates also graduated from the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies examination.
At the graduation ceremony on Thursday, Controller of Corrections at the Kano Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Suleiman Inuwa, appreciated the Service for preparing the inmates for better future which is in line with the Correctional Service Act 2019.
He said the service is rebranding and repositioning their lives to became productive to the larger society and to make the nation proud after their jail terms.
Suleiman, lauded the Controller General of Corrections for providing the enabling environment for imparting knowledge on the inmates.
In a remark, Kano State Commissioner for Education, Haruna Doguwa, pledged the commitment of the state government to ensure it continued supports and payments of examination fees for inmates.
