Accepting the report from the Ad hoc Committee set up to select members of the standing committees, the Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uche Ugwu on Thursday constituted 22 standing committees.

In his speech after announcing the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of each of the standing committees, the Speaker said, “I wish to let you know that there are other members of the different committees; at least each member of this hallowed chamber belongs to at least 7 committees.”

“While the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen are drivers of the committees, every other member should contribute to see that the works of the committees are delivered to the best interest of Enugu state,” Rt. Hon. Uche Ugwu charges the lawmakers.

The full list of the standing committees, the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen are below:

1. 1. Chairman House Committee on Youth, Sports and Security matters-Raymond Ugwu; Vice Chairman Ugwu Obiajulu Princess.
   2. Chairman Committee on Agriculture and Agro industrialization- Ejike Eze; Vice Chairman Okechukwu Aneke.
   3. Chairman Committee on Health- Okechukwu Aneke; Vice Chairman Anthony Nwankwo.
   4. Chairman Committee on Local Government, Inter-parliamentary and Ensiec- Iloabuchi Aniagu; Vice Chairman Chukwuma Ekwueme.
   5. Chairman Works and Infrastructure- Clifford Odo; Vice Chairman Harrison Ogara.
   6. Chairman Committee on Judiciary, Public Petitions and Ethics- Barrister Bright Ngene; Vice Chairman Obinna Ijele.
   7. Chairman Committee on Information and Communication- Harrison Ogara; Vice Chairman Ugwu Raymond.
   8. Chairman Committee on Civil service and Labour matters- Osita Okoh; Vice Chairman Eneh Jane Chinwendu.
   9. Chairman Committee on Economic Development and Poverty reduction, SDG & MDAs- Amuka Williams; Vice Chairman Magnus Edeh.
   10. Chairman Committee on Housing and Foreign Investment-Anthony Okey Mbah; Vice Chairman Williams Amuka.
   11. Chairman Committee on Public Acclaims and Anti-corruption-Ekwueme Chukwuma Martins; Vice Chairman Clifford Nnaemeka Obe.
   12. Chairman Committee on Culture, Tourism and Chieftancy- Onyinyechi Malachi; Vice Chairman Eze Ejike Jude
   13. Chairman Committee on Education, Science and Technology- Osita Eze; Vice Chairman Onyinyechi Malachi.
   14. Chairman Committee on Finance and Appropriation-Anthony Nwankwo; Vice Chairman Clifford Odo
   15. Chairman Committee on Transport, intergovernmental- Edeh Magnus; Vice Chairman Eze Gabriel.
   16. Chairman Committee on Enugu Capital Territory- Udefuna Jude; Vice Chairman Osita Okoh.
   17. Chairman Committee on Gender affairs- Jane Chinwendu Eneh; Vice Chairman Osita Eze
   18. Chairman Committee on Trade, Investment and Industry- Obinna Ijele; Vice Chairman Barr. Bright Ngene.
   19. Chairman Committee on Rules and business- Ani Johnson; Vice Chairman Iloabuchi Aniagu.
