The recent removal of subsidy on petrol by the federal government has affected the livelihood of common man in Nigeria.
The situation has reduced the number of square meal per day in most of the households, as some went to bed on hungry stomach.
Based on the negative impact of the policy on the masses, Lamido Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa has distributed maize to over one thousand households in Yola South local government area.
The measure is to part of the humanitarian gesture of the paramount ruler to cushion the effect of policy on his subjects.
Communities that received the Lamido Adamawa’s benevolent include Yolde Pate, Shagari, Lelewalji, Wuro Hausa, Modibbo Zailani, Damare, Sanda, Masallacin Modibbo Adama.
Suleiman Buba who supervised the distribution said each beneficiary from the benefiting communities received five measures of maize based on the directives given to them on the mode of distribution by the donor.
Some beneficiaries, who were excited, thanked the royal father for the kind gesture and wish him good health.
