The senator representing Anambra South senatorial district over the weekend, received in visit, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Remi Adeoye. Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has been at the forefront of the raging war against gangs of criminals terrorizing parts of Anambra State, particularly the Anambra South senatorial zone. Only about three months ago, Ubah launched a neighborhood watch in Nnewi to intensely fight insecurity with a blend of men within the community and technology. This approach has been effective.
On his part, the Anambra State CP who resumed only a few months ago, has given a hot chase to criminals around the state. CP Adeoye’s knowledge of Anambra state where he has served for nearly two decades combined, comes in handy in his efforts to sanitize the state. Within the few months in the saddle as the CP, he has also engaged in the sanitization of the Force in Anambra State by suspending an erring DPO as well as rewarding officers who maintain the best professional conduct at duty post. He also engages in unexpected on-the-spot visits to formations around the state.
Adeoye’s visit to Senator Ubah is in line with his wide consultation with critical stakeholders in his drive to ensure a peaceful and safe Anambra State for all residents.
During the visit, Senator Ubah described Adeoye as a humble gentleman of the finest quality in the Force, while emphasizing the central place of the Police Force in peacebuilding and security of the state. Ubah who reiterated in sole commitment to the well-being of his constituents said his interest in public good is without repentance. The CP on his part thanked Sen. Ubah for his efforts towards complimenting the labors of the Force. He further expressed optimism that with collective input like Sen. Ubah is making, Anambra State will be safe and secure for all.
