President Bola Tinubu has appointed new chief executive officers for agencies and parastatals under the Ministry of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy.

The new appointments were announced on Wednesday by Ajuri Ngelale, the special adviser to the President on media and publicity.

According to the statement, Aminu Maida will head the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, as the executive vice-chairman, EVC, and chief executive officer, CEO.

The President appointed Nkechi Egerton-Idehen as the managing director and CEO of the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited, NIGCOMSAT.

Tola Odeyemi will serve as the postmaster-general of the Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST and Vincent Olatunji will head the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, NDPC, as the national commissioner and CEO.

Also, President Tinubu approved the appointment of Idris Alubankudi as his special adviser on technology and digital economy.

Ngelale said Alubankudi’s appointment is in line with the President’s “determination to maximally leverage on Nigeria’s proven technological and digital economic prowess to reposition the nation’s economy toward greater financial inclusion.”

Furthermore, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi was reappointed as the CEO of the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA.
