The new Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Gandhi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III who was announced by the Oyo State Government as the new Soun and made him king on September 8, 2023, has been sacked by a High Court.
A high court sitting in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has ordered the newly installed Soun of Ogbomoso, to vacate the stool, citing illegality of the selection process.
The judgment was delivered on Wednesday.
Recall that the court sitting in Ogbomoso had reserved judgment till October 25 over a lawsuit challenging the selection of Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye as the Soun of Ogbomosho.
