The All Progressives Congress, APC, has described Atiku Abubakar’s speech during a press conference his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, hosted on Monday as “long, windy, incoherent and preposterous.”
Atiku, at the press briefing, said the presidential election tribunal and the Supreme Court dismissed his “incontrovertible evidence that Bola A. Tinubu was not qualified to contest the presidential election because he forged the qualifying academic certificate, which he submitted to INEC” and the “irrefutable evidence of gross irregularities, violence, and manipulations during the elections” he presented to the courts.
But the APC via a statement signed by its national publicity secretary Felix Morka held that “it is delusional for Atiku, and his degenerate PDP, to have expected the courts to rely on their bogus, flimsy, unverifiable, uncorroborated, illogical and hearsay evidence to upturn an election that was conducted in substantial compliance with the Constitution and electoral laws of our land.”
The APC wondered why it is “so hard for Atiku to accept the popular choice of the electorate and the valid decisions of the courts.”
Going further, Morka stated that the ruling party understands how “utterly distraught Atiku must be” as a “serial election loser whose life ambition is to rule the country.”
“Nigeria is greater than your unrealised ambition to be president,” APC told Atiku, “Nigeria must move and has moved on.”
