Four of members of Rivers State House of Assembly has suspended over an allegation of masterminding the explosion that rocked the Assembly complex on Sunday night.
The Speaker of the House, Martins Amaewhule, announced the suspension of Edison Ehie, Leader of the House representing the Ahoada constituency and six other members of the House, on Monday morning.
Other Assembly members suspended are Goodboy Sokari Goodboy, also representing Ahoada, Adolphus Timothy, representing Opobo/Nkoro, and Victor Oko-Jumbo, representing Bonny.
The House also announced the impeachment process of Governor Siminalayi Fubara over alleged misuse of power and misconduct.
The motion resulted into uproar with loyalists of Fubara and Ehie, who went on a rampage, forcing the members to leave the Assembly complex.
