Victims of windstorm and flood disaster in Adamawa State have received  food and non food relief materials worth N10 million from the state government.
Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, Deputy Governor of the state at the symbolic presentation of the items in Demsa local government, Wednesday said the gesture is to cushion hardship on over 1000 people affected by in the LGA.
Represented  by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Neido Geoffrey, Deputy Governor said the gesture is a demonstration of government support to the victims.
She reiterated, government committed to alleviating difficulties occasioned by the natural disasters.
In a remark, Chairman Demsa local government, Wenekam Fwa,
said over 200 households were affected, and urged the state government and provide more supports as dry season sets in.
The paramount ruler, Hama Bata, Homun Alhamdu Gladstone Teneke called on the beneficiaries to judiciously use of the items.
In their separate remarks, the majority leader in the state Assembly Kate Raymond Mamuno, and the state Executive Secretary, ADSEMA Muhammed Suleiman tasked the beneficiaries to reciprocate governments efforts by making best use of the items.
