NewsNigeriaPolitics“Anambra’s biggest Problem is that it is Outside the Centre” – Paul Chukwuma

The former National Auditor of the ruling All Progressives Congress – APC and the Pro-Chancellor of Olivia University Burundi, Mr. Paul Chukwuma, has described himself as a child of grace. In a media parley at his country home in Umueri, Chukwuma recalled how events in his life have all aligned, ultimately resulting in the kind of man that he has become. A first-class graduate of Philosophy from the University of Nigeria, Paul Chukwuma was also an ex-seminarian whose life and purpose took a new turn and began crystallizing from the time he went to the National Assembly Abuja for his mandatory National Youth Service around 2001.

Looking back, Mr. Chukwuma recalled that his life’s journey has only turned out as God had designed it. “I am a product of grace”, Paul Chukwuma said.

The media parley which snowballed into political conversation of sorts equally gave an insight into Mr. Chukwuma’s political worldview, the impression of governance in Anambra state and problems, as well as possible solutions. For Mr. Chukwuma, “The biggest problem in Anambra is that we are outside the centre.” Accordingly, he informed the journalists present that he was running for governor in Anambra State on the platform of the APC. “I am running for Governor on APC’s platform,” he said. Speaking about his political competence, “I have been around, I know the problem and solution, I have been a dedicated party man and I have come to serve Anambra,” Mr. Chukwuma declares.

Reacting to questions on the likelihood of crisis in the APC after the governorship primary election as it has been in the past, Paul Chukwuma said there will not be any such thing because the new Anambra APC is determined to do things differently.

On the question that Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah is a major hurdle he must cross before he picks the APC ticket, Mr. Chukwuma graciously described Sen. Ubah as a major stakeholder, and again, affirming that there won’t be any crisis from APC gubernatorial primaries. “Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah is a major stakeholder in Anambra politics. Anyone who says Ifeanyi is a nobody is not serious. However, APC is not interested in infighting after the primary election, we will all join hands together to move Anambra State to the centre,” Mr. Chukwuma reassured.
