The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu is full of hopes that the economic challenges in Nigeria will soon be history, and she wants Nigerians to share in her optimism.
“The hardship situation is temporary; it will soon fade away,” said Mrs Tinubu on Monday when she hosted the wives of State governors in the State House, Abuja.
Nigerians are faced with soaring prices of gas, food and transportation. Tinubu is still struggling to bring the ballooning inflation under control. Time and again, he has asked Nigerians to be patient with him as he works to address the situation.
A protest broke out in Minna, the capital city of Niger State, in the early hours of Monday as residents could no longer keep silent amidst the government’s inaction.
But the First Lady remains unfazed. 2024 is a year of “peace, progress, prosperity and greater achievement” for Nigerians, she remarked.
