The member-elect for Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Uzokwe, and member-elect for Orumba North and Orumba South Federal Constituency, Hon. Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, have been sworn-in as members of the House of Representatives. The swearing-in took place during plenary on Tuesday.
On Monday, February 7th, the members-elect were issued with their certificates of return by the INEC, and on Tuesday, they were administered with an oath of office and sworn in by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, along with other members-elect who also went through the re-run or bye election on Saturday in their constituencies.
At the swearing-in, the senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah was present to felicitate with the two YPP members of the House of Representatives.
Both Hon. Uzokwe and Hon. Nnabuife fought hard for their elections. However, the support and assistance of Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah remain a major pillar of their success.
From now on, their constituents expect that they bring dividends of democracy from the Green Chambers; whatever this may be, to them.
