President Bola Tinubu’s eldest son, Seyi Tinubu, and daughter, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo have implored Nigerians to have faith in their father’s administration as protest continues to rock the country over the enduring cost-of-living crisis.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Seyi, quoted President Bola Tinubu’s statement during his national broadcast to mark the country’s 63rd independence anniversary last year while expressing optimism that despite the prevailing economic woes, the future of Nigeria is promising.
Tinubu’s words were: “There is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago. I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future.”
The young Tinubu accompanied the quote with hashtags like “Nigeria is in great hands” and “Our generation will yield the fruits of this hardship.
Tinubu-Ojo, on her part, pleaded with Nigerians to “exercise a little more patience” with her father as he seeks to navigate the economic turbulence.
“Everything will be alright; it’s just a matter of time. We need to keep our hope alive. There is an economic downturn all over the world, and not in Nigeria alone. But we pray Allah will see us through,” she added.
